There are many variations of this popular game. Some games use a double-zero wheel with red and black divisions, while others use a single-zero wheel with green and a second division numbered 0.

A roulette wheel is a spinning disk with metal partitions known as separators, which are arranged around the rim. The partitions are numbered nonconsecutively from 1 to 36 in a seemingly random pattern.

On a European-style wheel, the zero is coloured red and the double zero is coloured black. On American-style wheels, however, the zero is coloured green and the double zero is coloured black.
